Week 8 Recap

Thursday Night Blood

Once again, there was Thursday Night Blood. Marking the 2nd time in 3 weeks this has happened. A lot of ruined weekends right off the bat. Can't imagine we won't see as many double dips this week and going forward. Thursday Night Football is not for the weak hearted, you have to be ready to sweat the game out and for your weekend to be ruined. If you're into that sort of stuff then the Thursday Night Double Dip is just for you.

The Epsteins

Vinnie P (officially on Epstein Watch) is one week away from making history. He is at 6 straight losses, which has etched his name into the Teaser League Record Books. The record is 7. "Stay out of the books Vinnie" - Mark H (too funny of a line not to give Mark credit for). Right the ship. there is hope. 8 weeks down. not even halfway done yet. Taylor and Ardell (Officially put on Epstein Watch) are right behind him with 5 straight. On the other side of the coin Tom P rattled off 6 straight and has also etched his name into the Teaser League Record books, on a more positive note. A nice little $2K swing in 6 weeks.

Scheduling & Spreads

A lot of big spreads again this week. Same schedule as last week. No Europe game (thank god). One Monday night game (thank God again).

Penalty Pot Update

Another $800 added to the Penalty Pot last week to bring the total up to $3,500. Staying right on pace for for the $10K that I envisioned, hopefully more. Playoffs get wild and the Penalty Pot gets juiced up during the last 4 weeks. A couple very close calls could've made for a HUGE penalty pot this week. As always there were some major bullets dodged.

Duh Bears

The Bears are Bipolar. Once I saw 24 people on the for Teaser I knew they were going to lose. That's how they operate. They drag you down, build you up and then drag you down again. The cycle just continues and will continue.

Bad NFL Teams

There are some really bad teams in the NFL right now. I don't remember so many bloody teams going unpicked in all of my years playing this great game. Even the "mid" teams in the NFL are bad. I would say this is one of the worst products of NFL football I've seen in a long time, maybe ever. That's why we have Teaser League ... we don't care if it's bad or good, we want action and want the rush!

Peter H Got Jinxed

Newcomer Peter H got his first taste of blood and is in a 3 way tie for first. could be a 5 way tie if it weren't for a penalty pot pick by two players!
