Week 6 Recap
It has been another eventful week in the Teaser League. We've already equaled last season's penalty pot total in just six weeks. As I mentioned last week, the penalty pot for the entire last season was $6,700. Currently, we're at $6,600 and are projected to reach $24,200. That's incredible. I estimate it will end up around $12-15K, but as Coolio once said, "the way things are going I don't know."
Rams' unexpected defeat stunned the world last week. I left with 18 seconds remaining after the Rams scored, unaware of their loss until hours later. This outcome sent shockwaves through the Survivor League, putting Kyle "Longshanks" on an emotional rollercoaster. That loss singlehandedly added $1200 towards the penalty pot.
Nick W., Tom H., and Colin K. are currently reigning supreme after six weeks, each with a 5-1 record. Staying at the top of the Teaser League for an entire season is arguably one of the most challenging feats in the world. Some believe it's more advantageous to remain in the middle of the standings for most of the season and then climb up. It will be intriguing to see if these three have the grit and guts to remain at the top for another 15 weeks.
Jimmy O.!!! Thank God he won this week, thank God. Start stacking some wins. I won't mention you again, you are officially off of Epstein Watch.
Speaking of Epstein Watch, No one has been more focused on Epstein Watch than Kyle G. We keep a constant eye on him. Currently, he's at 1-5, with three of those five weeks involving penalties, and his only winning week bringing in $92.00. He's coming off a tumultuous week, not only with Teaser League and the Rams defeating him but also in Survivor League, where the Rams beat him again. I'm concerned about him emotionally. He's facing challenges from all sides right now. As I've mentioned before, he's been in tougher situations in life; he knows how to pull through, he just needs to find the right tool. This week IS A MUST WIN FOR HIM.
Berkley & Dominic are currently on Epstein Watch as well. Brutal stretch for them. Similar to Kyle "Longshanks" G., three of their five losses have been penalty pot. I'm not calling this a must win this week for them, their only win netted $552, so, I know they can do it. A loss this week would put them in the same cell block as Kyle G.
I see a handful of players clawing their way into the green. They are so close after being in the red for much of the season. Eric F and his weekly Giants pick almost bit him in rear end this week. Timmy O is so close to the green he can smell it. We're all trying to finding our way to the green, just have to keep grinding and fighting. Remember, you are never out of it. Playoffs, things get wild when O/U's get introduced, so keep going and don't lose faith.
Good luck this week! Bear Down!
