Week 4 Recap

Bill P. & Seth G ... oh my

• Tough losses, even worse being the only players to pick those teams. Honestly, there's nothing worse than seeing you're the only player on the board that chose that team.

• Seth G. started off 5-0 last year, was up $2,750.00 after 5 weeks. Since then he's 8-12 and down $2,025.00; hopefully he figures it out.

• Dan B. has won 8 in a row dating back to last season.

• Sam L. is 1-7 in the first 4 weeks the last two seasons. Totaling $3,350.00, yikes.

• Chris/Chris AKA The Two Chris' are getting whacked right now. Add them to the list of slow starters. Last season they lost their first 6 weeks and defined what Epstein Watch was. Crazy enough they finished the rest of the season 13-3 and up $1100.00.

The Chargers, Bucs, Vikings, and a few other teams were on the verge of significant losses. It almost seemed like the NFL instructed the refs to throw flags late in the 4th quarter to extend drives for losing teams. That's my first conspiracy theory of the year..

We are still struggling to get blood

• 14 players are 4-0 and in the green. That's great for them but they should be up more than $1K after 4 weeks. That amount should be double, maybe triple.

• 23 players are at $0.00, which, if it's the end of the season you're fine with but in week four you want some green or red, no in between. You want the rush!

• 13 players are in the red - that's a low number too. The loss amount is high

• It's a tale of 3 sections of teaser. 28% of the league is in the green, usually that % is at or around 50%, never, ever been below 40% in the 5 previous seasons.

• I keep saying "it'll level out" but after 4 weeks it hasn't.

NFL has some very bad teams

• Panthers, Jets, Dolphins, Bengals, Titans, Saints, Giants, Browns. A quarter of the NFL is really bad. Just a bad product being displayed on the field, not enjoyable to watch some of those teams play unless you got action on them. The Bengals losing Burrow puts them into this category. I know the Giants won but they still stink (Sorry Eric F.).

• First time ever we had a game where nobody picked either of the teams (Dolphins vs Jets)

The Bears are an average team - they'll be lucky to get 7-9 wins this season. I'll take the two in a row right now and be happy with it. Caleb to Rome is a combo we'll be hearing for a very long time.

On Thursday I'll have more stats/analytics comparing the first 4 weeks of the last 6 seasons to see how this season compares. It's vastly different.
