Week 2 Recap

Let's quickly discuss the Bears. If you've been following this team for a while, you'll witness some astonishing ways they manage to lose games. There's the fumble at the 1-yard line, a blocked field goal from the 10-yard line, and, to top it off, our quarterback runs in for the leading touchdown, gets injured, falls untouched, and they end up losing 9-3 in the rain. Speaking of the rain, it was relentless. It just wouldn't let up.

Alright, that's enough about the Bears. Now, let's shift our focus to Philadelphia for Week 3's Monday Night Football. Let's discuss Teaser...

Someone might have put their arm around Charles K. right now. Consecutive weeks of penalty pot has him at #51 (Butkus) in the standings. He'll recover, he'll get back to his usual form. I just hope it's sooner rather than later.

How about Tom H.!!! I don't want to jinx it, but we have to discuss the potential comeback player of the year at the moment. Last week, I mentioned that he's spent his teaser life in the red. Now, he's 2-0, comfortably in the green, and on top of the world. Keep it up.

Some quick stats after two weeks

• We had a lot of 'Island Boys' this week. For those that don't know what an Island Boy is, it's when you're the only one who picked a team. It's a lonely place to be.

• Three notable QB's went down this week ... Caleb, Jaxson "Butt" Dart and Jayden Daniels. Now we get to see Marcus Mariota and Jamies Winston on top of Cooper Rush and the other crap QB's the NFL (and the NCAA) has manufactured for us.

• We had 7 teams get bloody this week. In week 1 we had 8 teams. Back to back bloody weekends.

• 21 players have started off 0-2, that's 41% of the league. That's kind of wild, not sure if I've seen that before or not.

• 8 players are 2-0, only 16% of the league

• Penalty pot is projected at $39,600 right now - if it stays at that number then god help us all. It won't, don't worry. I'm guessing it'll be anywhere from $10-$13K. Players will start reading the board in the coming weeks and we'll see less penalty pot money ... that's what I'm guessing but none of us know what the future hold

I'll have the lines and match ups set for week 3 on Thursday morning. We have two days to sulk ourselves in the bloody mess we've created. I'll send another email out on Thursday morning.
