The playoffs have finally arrived. We have some AMAZING matchups this weekend, with Bears vs Packers on Saturday night being the highlight, LFG!
As the playoffs kick off, we're introducing over & under into the mix. Here are all the changes for this week's picks:
The spread is now +10, reduced from +13
Over and under are now included. Same rule, +10
It's now PICK 3, instead of pick 4.
Week 18 Recap
Not much changed, but thanks to Ardel choosing the Jets and Titans, we gained a bit and added $200 to the penalty pot.
Vampire
This weekend, Tom OB entered the competition for a chance to win some money in Vampire. He has won two consecutive weeks and is now tied for 3rd place with Robert E.
Vampire continues until the Super Bowl, with plenty of opportunities remaining. Those with two wins still have a chance but need to win the next four weeks to claim victory.
Bears vs Packers
This is the moment. We cannot afford to lose this game. If we do, the season will have been a failure. Losing to the Packers at home in the wild card round would be DEVASTATING. Here's what needs to happen:
The Bears must run the ball at least 25 times, ideally around 30-35. They need to control the time of possession and keep our defense off the field because it struggles and lacks a pass rush.
We need to secure at least one turnover. Without turnovers, we're likely done for, as our defense can't stop anyone. They may bend but don't break, yet we all know they're like swiss cheese.
Finally, we must score on the first drive. The first 15 plays should be executed perfectly. We need at least 3 points right away to calm the nerves and energize the crowd. Give me a 12 play, 75 yard, 7:00 minute drive to start the game.
Starting with a three and out on defense would guarantee victory.
