Vampire

Each week I talk about The Vampire. To put it into perspective for those that haven't joined:

• It's the true skill test for picking

• Through 4 weeks we've had 40 picks submitted, only 1 has been correct. That 2% of the picks submitted.

• We're taking submissions through week 5 and then I'll cut it off. It's a $50 buy in and the top 3 get money. As of now this is the breakdown:

  • 1st place - $500.00

  • 2nd place - $200.00

  • 3rd place - $100.00

Analytics Department

I put my analytics department to work to compare past seasons win/loss % for the first 3 weeks. This is what we came up with:

• Season VI (This season)

  • Week 1 - 12% of the league lost

  • Week 2 - 36% of the league lost

  • Week 3 - 32% of the league lost

• Season V

  • Week 1 - 65% of the league lost

  • Week 2 - 53% of the league lost

  • Week 3 - 60% of the league lost

• Season IV

  • Week 1 - 74% of the league lost

  • Week 2 - 10% of the league lost

  • Week 3 - 74% of the league lost

• Season III

  • Week 1 - 75% of the league lost

  • Week 2 - 42% of the league lost

  • Week 3 - 13% of the league lost

• Season II

  • Week 1 - 70% of the league lost

  • Week 2 - 22% of the league lost

  • Week 3 - 57% of the league lost

• Season I

  • Week 1 - 19% of the league lost

  • Week 2 - 37% of the league lost

  • Week 3 - 19% of the league lost

Not since Season I have we witnessed season player losing percentages this low. As you can see in the first 3 weeks they usually range from 50-75%. We haven't seen that yet. What does that tell you? It's coming and it's coming fast.

Throughout the season I'll be adding more stats, history, analytics, etc. I'll be posting the past seasons standings as well so everyone can look at how the league has grown and what the spreadsheets looked like from Season I to Season VI.
